In the 2014 lectures, electrical engineer Professor Danielle George takes three great British inventions – the light bulb, the telephone and the motor – and shows you how to hack, adapt and transform them to do extraordinary things. This is tinkering for the 21st century.

These exciting science lectures are essential Christmas viewing for many families so it was an honour to be asked to produce them for a second time. Each lecture featured a different grand challenge – playing Tetris on a skyscraper, beaming TV presenter Dallas Campbell into the theatre via hologram and building a huge robot orchestra to play the Doctor Who theme tune.
Thanks to the amazing work of many many people we were able to do all three and many more fantastic demonstrations in front of a live audience of 300 young people.
